Studiedag 'Ruimte voor Sport' - dinsdag 14 februari 2012 - Bloso Sporthotel Gent - 9u-16u

In 2011 was Gent een heel jaar lang SPORTSTAD VAN VLAANDEREN, met de steun van de Vlaamse overheid. Om dit jaar gepast af te sluiten, organiseert de Sportdienst van Gent een studiedag met het thema: Ruimte voor Sport: de invloed van de ruimtelijke omgeving op sport en beweging.
Sporten en bewegen vereisen plaats. In sportaccommodaties, op speelpleinen, maar ook in de directe woonomgeving moet voorzien worden in die beweegruimte. Het gaat daarbij niet alleen om de plek in strikte zin, maar ook om inplanting, uitzicht, inrichting, kwaliteit, veiligheid van de openbare ruimte. Deze factoren leveren immers allemaal hun bijdrage tot een gezonde en actieve levensstijl en bevorderen de sociale integratie.
De focus van de studiedag ligt op invloed van de omgeving op het sporten en bewegen en op welke manier we die omgeving optimaal kunnen benutten.

Sport Science in the Heart of Europe -  Brugge - 4-7 juli

De Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), “Université Libre de Bruxelles” (ULB) en Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen (Howest) slaan de handen in elkaar. De 17de editie van het jaarlijkse congress van  "The European College of Sport Science " (ECSS) met als titel "Sport Science in the Heart of Europe" gaat door te Brugge van 4 t.e.m 7 juli 2012.

TGfU Conference - Loughborough University, UK - 14 - 16 juli 2012

The fifth International Teaching Games for Understanding Conference will be held at Loughborough University, UK in July 2012.
Participants can register now to secure the early booking rate via the Conference web site at: www.equity-events.co.uk/tgfu


If interested in presenting at the conference, the Scientific Committee are inviting abstracts for both oral and poster presentations. The deadline date for abstracts is 31st January 2012 but early submission is encouraged. (On receipt, abstracts will be considered as soon as possible and normally within approximately 6 weeks of submission).
